10 tips for looking after your teeth

Here are some tips to help you maintain your teeth for longer:

  1. Brush your teeth—minimum—twice a day
  2. Use a toothpaste that contains fluoride
  3. Brush for at least 2.5 minutes
  4. Floss every day, at least once a day
  5. Keep acidic drinks to a minimum—always drink water after soft drink, juice, and wine to minimise their affect.
  6. Keep sugary foods to a minimum
  7. If you play any sort of sports wear a mouthguard
  8. Save a knocked out tooth: it is possible to reattach a knocked out tooth
  9. Avoid using your teeth as a bottle opener
